The Great Saint birth anniversary celebration: The details about the role played by the Saint in promoting social justice, removal of inequality & discrimination.

Adikavi Valmiki Rishi: 

India is very well -known for its literature, texts and poems throughout the world Ramayana one of the largest poem in this world, Ramayana was written here. This epic consists of approximately twenty-four thousand verses which are divided into seven Kandas, namely – 

1) Bal Kanda 

2) Ayodhya Kanda 

3) Aranya Kanda 

4) Kishkindha Kanda 

5) Sundar Kanda 

6) Yudha Kanda/Lanka Kanda 

7) Uttar Kanda 

These seven Kandas described the life led by the Maryada Purshotam Lord Rama in details. The Ramayana was composed by sage Valmiki who has also been known as the Aadikavi. 

In the Anushtup Metre when two birds(crane) died by a hunter the first verse was composed by Maharishi Valmiki ji is inspired by this incident. He has incorporated the feeling of pain due to sepration in every chapter of the Ramayana. Lord Brahma visited sage Valmiki in his heritage after this incident and asked him to compose Ramayana the biography of Lord Rama in Anushta Metre. 

This sage Valmiki became the Adikavi the first poet and Ramayan beacame the Adikavya the first epic. 

Social Justice: 

Mahakavi Valmiki composed the epic Ramayana from the lofty spirit of Lokmangal and adopted a comprehensive vision of the sublime culture as well as social life in it. Hanuman, the hero of Ramayana and his servant, has given up everything for the relief of people’s suffering. Ramayana is a pioneer of society, poetry of folk life, egalitarian society. The Ramayana has an accurate depiction of social justice and equality. The great example of social harmony is the only Maharishi Valmiki’s Ramayana on the table of the world.

Removal of inequality & discrimination:

If the values ​​of Shri Ram are connecting us in every corner of India today, then a great credit for this also goes to Maharishi Valmiki ji. Maharishi Valmiki ji had proclaimed that the nation should be considered the motherland above all else. This mantra is today the strong foundation of the resolution of Nation First, India First.

Maharishi Valmiki

Valmiki was a legendary poet who is celebrated as the traditional author of the epic Ramayana, based on the attribution in the text itself. He is revered as Ādi Kavi, the first poet, author of Ramayana, the first epic poem.

Written by Valmiki, consists of 24,000 shlokas and seven cantos (kaṇḍas). The Ramayana is composed of about 480,002 words

Early life

Valmiki was born as Agni Sharma to a Brahmin named Pracheta (also known as Sumali) of Bhrigu gotra.

Role in Ramayana & Mahabharta

Valmiki played an important role uttarkanda, the last chapter of the epic Ramayana.  
Valmiki is known for composing the Ramayana Guru of Lava and Kusha, who become his disciples. 

Valmiki was alive during the Mahabharata, after the war Valmiki told Yudhishtra that he should also pray to Lord shiva like him.

Reincarnation

Valmiki was born in the Treta Yuga as a form of Bhramha Vishnudharmottara Purana says that later reincarnated as Tulsidas, who composed the Ramcharitramanas, which was the Awadhi-Hindi version of the Ramayana.

Temple

 Valmiki, is also known as Lal Beg or Bala Shah. Several Temples across India in the name of sage Valmiki.

In Popular Culture 

Several Indian films have been made on the life of the poet, beginning with G. V. Sane’s Valmiki (1921); it was followed by Surendra Narayan Roy’s Ratnakar (1921), Bhatt’s film which starred Suresh Oberoi in the title role remains unreleased after a case was filed against Oberoi for remarks deemed offensive by members of the Valmiki caste in India
