Definition :
Government: An elected body responsible for governing a community, state or country.
Amenity: Service or feature that provides comfort or convenience.
All the people in the country, whether they live in villages, towns or cities, have certain basic needs. They all need water, electricity, public transport, schools, collages and hospitals. These basic needs are civic amenities. They are also known as public utility services. It is the job of the Government to provide these civic amenities to the people.
